HOME 2000 POS / Privacy Policy

Your records. Clear responsibilities.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. Operator and contact

HOME 2000 POS is operated by HOME 2000 BUILDING MATERIALS LLC, Shabiat Sweihan, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For privacy questions, access requests or help with Google authorization, email home2000build@gmail.com or call 056-4664188.

2. Information processed

The POS processes business information entered by authorized personnel: customer names and contact details; company, address and tax details when supplied; products, prices and inventory; invoices and line items; discounts, payments and credit balances; returns, refunds and credit notes; suppliers, purchases, expenses and daily closing records.

It also maintains employee issuer identities, authorization events, audit history, document references, synchronization status and backup information. Authorized saved signature images may be used on explicitly selected documents.

3. Google authorization and data access

The desktop app requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This permission lets it create and work with files it creates or that have been specifically made accessible to it. The same authorization is used for its Google Drive and Google Sheets operations; it does not request permission to read Gmail messages, contacts or the user's entire Drive.

The app uses file identifiers, names, app-specific metadata, ownership and sharing information to identify its configured archive and verify the authorized storage account. It reads and writes authorized spreadsheet records and retrieves authorized PDF and backup content. It checks uploaded file sizes and checksums and reads back synchronized spreadsheet values to detect incomplete transfers.

Google authorization is used for business record synchronization, document archiving, retrieval, backup and recovery. It is separate from the POS employee and owner access controls.

4. Where information is stored

The installed desktop app stores its working database, drafts, documents and backups in its local application data folder. Authorized records are synchronized to the configured Google Sheets workbook. PDFs and database backups are uploaded to the configured Google Drive archive.

Google refresh credentials are stored separately from business records using Electron's Windows credential encryption facility. Access tokens are kept in application memory. Credentials are not included in invoice PDFs or the business reporting sheets. The business database is not described as encrypted by this policy.

Cloud copies may lag behind local records while the computer is offline, authorization is unavailable or a transfer is pending. Local records and retry status remain in the application; a cloud copy should only be treated as confirmed after the relevant verification succeeds.

5. Access and protection

Application roles and issuer authorization restrict financial operations. Google access depends on the connected account's authorization and file permissions. Authorized business personnel and the account owner can access records appropriate to their responsibilities. Device access, operating-system security and the Google account's own security settings also matter.

No application can guarantee uninterrupted availability or eliminate every security or data-loss risk. The owner should monitor synchronization, protect devices and maintain recoverable backups.

6. Use and sharing

The POS sends authorized business records and documents to Google to provide the requested Sheets, Drive and backup functions. Authorized personnel may print, export or provide records to customers, advisers or authorities for legitimate business and legal purposes. Exported copies are managed by the recipient and the business.

The inspected desktop application does not send Google user data to advertising services, sell that data, or use it to train generalized AI models. These public information pages do not collect or display POS records and contain no analytics scripts or sign-in form. The website hosting provider may process ordinary connection information needed to deliver these pages.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy

HOME 2000 POS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google data is used to provide the business functions described here. Any additional use or change in requested access must be disclosed and authorized as required.

8. Retention, corrections and deletion

The app retains business records, original issued documents, audit history and versioned backups; it does not apply a single automatic deletion period to all records. The business determines retention according to the record type, applicable UAE tax and accounting duties, legal holds and operational needs.

Contact the operator to request access, correction, restricted access or deletion. Identity and authority may need to be checked. Requests are considered alongside legal retention duties; finalized financial evidence may need to be preserved with an auditable adjustment rather than erased. Backup and exported copies may remain subject to those duties.

9. Revoking Google access

The Google account owner can remove the app's access from the account's third-party connections settings. Revocation stops further authorized Google access; it does not automatically erase local records, existing Google files or exported copies. Pending cloud operations may require a new authorization before they can resume. Contact the operator for assistance managing retained copies.

10. Policy changes

Material changes to Google data access or use will be disclosed through an updated policy and any consent required by Google's policies. Contact the business email above for the current policy or questions.
